Bronze Sculptures
Influenced by antiquity and the events that
shape the remains of the same and inspired by present day observations of our own environment, each sculpture is a direct
response to a specific human experience and physical architectural existence. Incorporating fragments of both organic
and geometric forms, my work defines the essence of a common place architectural encounter. Dealing with
natural and provoked destruction as a vehicle for creation, my work may elicit a different reaction depending on the experiences
of the viewer. Some may associate destruction with violence while others observe a constructive, reformative
quality. I exploit this duality in my fragmenting of objects. Some fragments occur by chance just as those
found in antiquity while others are pre-designed; however all are intentional.
